Project success depends on safety requirements being met to achieve an outcome of zero injuries or accidents. Arion’s Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) program can help ensure your projects are as safe as possible. In addition to utilizing SQS internally to support our engineering and procurement services, we also provide direct inspection management and in-shop inspection support excellence to our clients. By executing proven best practices to ensure supplier compliance, we embody a main principle of our Performance pillar. Further, we draw on our People pillar in fostering an “all in” team mentality to form lasting, trusting relationships for the duration of the project and beyond.

Our proven, high quality and effective SQS process works to save money by catching or stopping failures, defects and deficiencies that can reduce procurement risk and prevents costly rework at the installation site.  We strive to be the best in the business with successful projects that exceed client expectations.

Arion’s Inspection Level Rating System helps our team determine and classify the level of inspection services your project requires. Ranging from 1-5 - with Level 1 requiring a final shop inspection, then steps up in frequency for levels 2 thru 4 with a Level 5 indicating a need for resident-type full-time inspection coverage - the continuum of services we offer enables us to provide you with the appropriate service level for your needs.

Arion’s Inspection Matrix (IM) is our comprehensive inspection planning tool used to identify and recognize all inspections points desired by the client based on criticality and the need for inspection. Based on equipment type, the IM identifies the extent of inspection warranted. We have standardized Inspection Matrices for equipment typically used, or the standards can be modified to adapt to each specific equipment requisition or project requirement. The IM shows all review, monitoring, witness and designated inspection hold points, and allows us to provide inspection estimates for budget control and for planning of inspection resources.

Arion’s dedicated SQS team is led by John Long, an industry veteran with almost 40 years of inspection services expertise in Offshore, Onshore, Upstream, Downstream, Midstream, and Oil & Gas projects. John has leveraged his years of experience to develop the tools necessary to meet Arion’s commitment to quality, providing high quality safety assurance through our inspections services. His trusted relationships with our inspection resources is of the utmost integrity and commitment towards quality and safety for our clients.
