Arion Receives National Safety Council Award for 1 Million Safe Work Hours

We are pleased to announce that Arion recently received the National Safety Council Million Work Hours Award. The National Safety Council Million Work Hours Award recognizes companies, locations, or divisions that have completed at least 1 million consecutive work hours without an injury or illness that resulted in days away from work or death. In response to receiving this top safety award, Arion COO Edmund Lunde said, “Zero incidents and zero accidents - it's not just our goal, it is our expectation!”

To qualify for this prestigious award, an organization must accomplish 1 million consecutive work hours without an occupational injury, an illness involving days away from work, or death by OSHA recordkeeping requirements.

“Arion has reached over 1 million manhours incident and injury-free, thanks to the outstanding performance of our people!” said Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Manager Vicki Urbanowski. “We have grown from a company of 9 employees in early 2018 to 216 at the end of 2022 and continue to demonstrate our commitment to the safety of every member of the A-Team. We have achieved this milestone with persistence, and with consistency, we will maintain our excellent safety record.”

When it comes to safety and our clients, we are not in the business of merely selling work hours - we deliver completed projects on time and on budget. We believe this mindset is the only way to gain repeat business. To that end, if what you have in place is safe and working well, we will tell you so and not manufacture unnecessary engineering or design work. Arion is laser-focused on the complete satisfaction of our clients.

As we approach our 5th year of operation, this is an incredible milestone for our A-Teamers, our HSEQ Department, and Arion as a company. We look forward to our next million work hours accident and injury-free!
