Arion Receives National Safety Council Award for 1 Million Safe Work Hours
We are pleased to announce that Arion recently received the National Safety Council Million Work Hours Award. The National Safety Council Million Work Hours Award recognizes companies, locations, or divisions that have completed at least 1 million consecutive work hours without an injury or illness that resulted in days away from work or death.
In response to receiving this top safety award, Arion COO Edmund Lunde said, “Zero incidents and zero accidents - it's not just our goal, it is our expectation!”
Arion’s Arc Flash Study Work
So far in 2020, we have completed over 30 arc flash analyses for our clients’ industrial facilities, providing solutions to decrease hazards and bring facilities into compliance with OSHA requirements. Our experience has been that once our initial work is complete, our clients recognize the value we provide and ask us to expand our study work to include more of their facilities. Our team is capable of utilizing arc flash mitigating techniques as advised by NFPA 70E for your switchgear and MCC work.
Spotlight On: Arion’s Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) Program
Project success depends on safety requirements being met to achieve an outcome of zero injuries or accidents. Arion’s Supplier Quality Surveillance (SQS) program can help ensure your projects are as safe as possible. In addition to utilizing SQS internally to support our engineering and procurement services, we also provide direct inspection management and in-shop inspection support excellence to our clients. By executing proven best practices to ensure supplier compliance, we embody a main principle of our Performance pillar. Further, we draw on our People pillar in fostering an “all in” team mentality to form lasting, trusting relationships for the duration of the project and beyond.
Process Safety Management (PSM) Capabilities
In 2018, Arion initiated PSM program work for a major midstream client, performing work in six different regions across four states. After assessing the client’s needs, we worked together to define 21 Process Safety Information deliverables, then created documents or updated existing documents for our client’s facilities. Our innovative work processes allowed us to tailor deliverables to client requirements, and easily add or subtract deliverables from scope depending on facility needs. Keeping job assignments flexible enabled staff to hop on or off projects as needed, ensuring the best staffing fit for each area and project workload requirements.
